Removal and Installation
1. General
A. This procedure contains (2) tasks for the anti-collision (strobe) lights.
(1) The removal of the strobe light assembly.
(2) The installation of the strobe light assembly.

D. Procedure
(1) Do one of these steps to remove electrical power from the wing anti-collision light:
(a)
At the overhead panel, P5, set the switch to the off position and attach the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
(b)
Open the 11M7, ANTI-COLL WHITE circuit breaker on the overhead circuit breaker panel, P11, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE POSITION LIGHT FOR 10 MINUTES AFTER REMOVAL OF ELECTRICAL POWER. AN ELECTRICAL SHOCK CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(2) Remove strobe light assembly.
(a)
Remove strobe light lens and retainer by removing (2) 10-32 mounting screws.
(b)
Remove fillet seal around strobe light base periphery common to strobe light base plate.
(c)
Carefully remove strobe light assembly from winglet.
CAUTION: DO NOT PULL ON STROBE LIGHT WIRING, OR ALLOW STROBE LIGHT TO HANG FREE SUPPORTED BY THE WIRING. TENSION ON

STROBE LIGHT WIRING MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO TERMINAL CONNECTORS.
(d)
Remove (1) 6-32 screw and lock washer from wire support.
(e)
Remove (4) 4-40 screws from terminal 1, 2, 3 and 4.
(f)
Remove (1) 10-32 nut from ground stud.
