(1) Install the light assembly.
(a)
Make sure the lamps are installed in the new light assembly
(b)
Connect the jumper to the new light assembly.
(c)
Install the washer and screw.
(d)
Connect the electrical connector.
(e)
Put the light assembly in the fairin

(f)
Using an electrical bonding ohmmeter, make sure the resistance between the new assembly and the airplane structure measures no more than 0.0025 ohms.
(g)
Install the bolts with the corrosion-preventative compound, MIL-C-11796, Class
III.
(h)
At area indicated as “Special precaution” - Apply faying surface seal to all part to part interfaces using BMS5-95 per BAC5000. Apply the sealant, BMS5-142, at the seam between the light assembly [22] and fairing.
NOTE: Keep the sealant away from the lens assembly. Removal of the lens assembly is permitted.
(i)
If the lens assembly was removed, install it.
(j)
Reapply electrical power to the light, reversing step (1). As appropriate, either: 1). At the overhead panel, P5, set the switch to the on position and remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag. 2). Close each applicable circuit breaker on the overhead circuit breaker
panel, P11, for the position light and remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: S 712-012
(2) Do a test of the wing rear position light.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(b)
Make sure the light comes on correctly.
(c)
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

WING POSITION LIGHTS TRANSFORMER
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure contains these tasks:

B. The transformer is located on OSS 838.17 LE Rib. In order to remove the transformer, you must first remove lower LE panel.
