1.  Spoiler Panel Rigging and SPEEDBRAKE Handle Force Checks
A. General
This test is required to check the Spoiler panel rigging and travel with the airplane in the AIR MODE.
NOTE: If multiple spoiler protractors are not available it is permissible to use two protractors, one on each wing on identical spoiler panels and repeat tests for panel pairs until all spoiler panel positions have been measured.
B.  Tool and Equipment Requirements
1) Force gauge to measure SPEEDBRAKE handle forces
2) Rig pins
3) Wing spoiler protractors

C. Procedure
1) Make sure the airplane is in this configuration:

a)  Electrical power is on (AMM 24-22-00/201). Note: If external power is used, supply external power per AMM 24-22-00/201, S862-
036. Failure to supply power per this procedure will cause the “Autostow Fault” light to illuminate on the SAC module.
b)  Hydraulic power is on (AMM 29-11-00/201).
WARNING: Keep persons and equipment away from all control surfaces when hydraulic power is supplied.  Ailerons, elevators, rudder, flaps, slats, spoilers and stabilizer are fully powered surfaces.  Injury to persons or damage to equipment can occur when hydraulic power is supplied.
c)  Verify airplane is in GROUND mode.  Landing gear not tilted, air/ground switches not slugged.

2)  Verify the following circuit breakers on the P11 circuit breaker panel are closed:

3)  Set the lateral trim to zero.  The lateral trim knob is located on the P8 aisle stand.
NOTE: Do not change the lateral trim setting until the entire test has been completed.
