9) Remove guard (17).
10) Install bolt (19) to keep idle pulleys in position.
11) Cut the lockwire of turnbuckle barrel (36).
12) Install immobilization tool (43) and loosen the turnbuckle barrel fully. Retain turnbuckle barrel.
13) Release cable assembly (34) from drive capstan (39) and idle pulleys (8). Wind up the cable and protect it.
14) Loosen and discard nuts (11), remove bolts (3) and (14) and washers (4). Retain mounting plate (10) and pulley support assembly (16).
NOTE : During removal, put a mark if there is a washer (4) under bolt (3) head.
4. INSTALLATION OF THE MOUNTING PLATE (Figures 401 and 402)
WARNING : PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF A NEW MOUNTING PLATE, CHECK THE CLUTCH FRICTION TORQUE — REFER TO 22-12-00.
A. Tool and consumable materials
- Stainless steel lockwire, dia. 0.6 mm (0.023 in)
- Immobilization tool P/N T700A2799000009
- Loctite (TB 08-935)
B. Procedure
1) Make sure the controls immobilization tool of the pilot's control wheel is in correct position.
2) Check cable assembly (34) for condition — refer to 20-00-07.

3) Install pulley support assembly (16) and mounting plate (10) on support (33). Install bolts (3) and (14), washers (4) and new nuts (11). Turn bolt (3) fully but do not tighten it.
NOTE : Washer under bolt (3) head is optional, related to the mark made during removal.
4) Install B38 pitch trim servo actuator (12) — refer to Paragraph 2.
5) Tighten bolt (3).
6) Screw turnbuckle barrel (36) onto threaded end (37) to ensure grip over two threads.
7) Wind up cable assembly (34) on drive capstan (39) and on idle pulleys (8) — refer to Details B and C, Figure 402.
8) Connect threaded end (35) with turnbuckle barrel (36) ensuring the same thread grip for both threaded ends (35) and (37).
9) Install immobilization tool (43) and screw turnbuckle barrel (36) until you slightly tighten the cable assembly.
10) Remove bolt (19). Install guard (17), pulley support flange (7), washer (18) and bolt (19). Turn the bolt fully but do not tighten it.
11) Install bolt (5), washers (6) and new nut (9). Tighten bolt (19).
12) Check bolt (41) and washer (42) for condition. Replace them if necessary.
13) Apply loctite TB 08-935 on bolt (41) thread. Install guard (40), washer (42) and bolt (41).
14) Remove cable clamps (32).
15) Remove the controls immobilization tool from the pilot's control wheel.
16) Remove the warning sign prohibiting elevator trim tab operation.
17) Deflect the trim tab control and check that cable assembly (34) remains in correct position on drive capstan (39) and idle pulleys (8).
18) Lockwire bolt (19) to pulley support flange (7).
