2) Check cable assembly (27) for condition — refer to 20-00-07.
3) Install mounting plate (12) and spacer (6) on its support (11).
4) Install bolts (10), washers (9) and (2) and new nuts (1).
5) Screw turnbuckle barrel (21) onto threaded end (29) to ensure grip over two threads.
6) Turn the drive pulley to put stud (30) housing directed downwards ± 45°.
7) Remove the control immobilization tool from the pilot's control wheel and position the elevator to mid-travel.
8) Wind up the cable on drive capstan (13) and on pulley (26) — refer to Detail A, Figure 402.
9) Connect cable assembly (27) to turnbuckle barrel (21) ensuring the same thread grip as for threaded end (29).
10) Install immobilization tool (31) and screw turnbuckle barrel (21) until you slightly tighten cable assembly (27).

11) Remove nut (22), washer (23). Install guard (24), washer and nut.
12) Remove cable clamp (32).
13) Deflect the elevator control and check that cable assembly (27) remains in correct position on drive capstan (13) and pulleys (26) and (25).
14) Check bolt (5) and washer (4) for condition. Replace them if necessary.
CAUTION : WHEN INSTALLING GUARD (3), MAKE SURE THE LUGS ENGAGE CORRECTLY IN THEIR HOUSINGS. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN DAMAGE THE GUARD.
15) Apply loctite TB 08-935 on bolt (5) thread. Install guard (3), washer (4) and bolt (5).
NOTE : The guard can be in various angular positions. Make sure it is not against the cable strands.
16) Install B35 pitch servo actuator (14)— refer to Paragraph 2.
17) Adjust the tension of the cable assembly — refer to Page 501.
18) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris.
19) Close "AP CMPTR" and "AP SERVOS" circuit breakers.
20) Refer to HONEYWELL Installation and Maintenance Manual, P/N 006-00776-0000 at Amendment D or above. Perform the tests specified in Paragraph 6 section "KFC 225 MAINTENANCE MATRIX".
