3. ADJUSTMENT / TEST — AUTOPILOT
A. Tools and consumable materials
None
B. Adjustment — Roll, pitch and pitch trim servo—actuators friction torque
Refer to KING Installation Manual "KAP 100 / KAP 150 / KFC 150 flight control system for SOCATA TB 10 and TB 20", P/N 006-0294-00.
C. Autopilot test
1) Make sure the circuit breakers "A / P" and "TRIM" (if installed) are closed.
2) Close the switch—breaker of the main switch.
3) Set the autopilot main switch to "ON".
4) Perform the test :
ACTION RESULT
(1) Momentarily depress the TEST (a) All the annunciators / indicator lights on the
push—button of the flight computer. flight computer front face come on.
Aircraft equipped with KAP 150 / KFC 150 and  KAP 100 with manual electrical trim
(b) The red failure annunciator "TRIM" flashes 4 times.
Aircraft equipped with the altitude/vertical speed  selector
(c) All the symbols and digits of the unit display show up.
All
(d) After approximately 5 seconds :
— All the annunciators / indicator lights of the flight computer go off,
— The annunciator / indicator light "AP" flashes approximately 12 times and goes off,
— The autopilot warning buzzer sounds approximately 6 times.
5) Set the autopilot main switch to "OFF".
6) Open the switch—breaker of the main switch.

AUTOPILOT
ADJUSTMENT / TEST
NOTA : If an autopilot system compound or the flight director indicator, or the HSI or the encoding altimeter is removed for maintenance or replacement, the configuration procedure is partly required for reinstallation. Refer to HONEYWELL Installation and Maintenance Manual P/N 006-00776-0000, Paragraph 6, section "KFC 225 Maintenance Matrix".
1. AUTOPILOT OPERATIONAL TEST
A. Tools and consumable materials
None
B. Procedure
1) Park the aircraft on a clear area.
2) Start the engine - refer to 05-30-02.
3) Allow the horizon (KI258) or flight director indicator (KI256) to stabilize.
4) Make sure "AP CMPTR", "AP SERVOS" and "AP ALERT" circuit breakers are closed.
5) Perform the following test :
ACTION RESULT
 
(1) Set radio master switch to "ON".
NOTE : Allow a few minutes for the directional gyro to reach its correct operating speed.
(2) Push "AP MASTER" switch.
NOTE : The A82 flight computer carries out a pre-flight test which consists in sequencing of internal tests.
