A82 FLIGHT COMPUTER
REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
1. REMOVAL OF A82 FLIGHT COMPUTER
A. Tool and consumable material
- Wrench Allen 3/32 in
- Grease (TB 04-900)
B. Removal of flight computer (Figure 401)
1) Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open.
2) Make sure that the autopilot "AP MASTER" switch is set to "OFF".
3) Put the wrench Allen 3/32 in the orifice (3) of the front panel of the flight computer (2).
4) Loosen the locking device up to stop. Do not force it.
5) Remove the computer from its rack (1).
NOTE : The aircraft static circuit is open when the flight computer is removed from its rack. Install a blanking plug on the aircraft static circuit pipe connected to the flight computer if the aircraft must be used without it.
C. Installation of the flight computer (Figure 401)
1) If the aircraft static circuit pipe connected to the flight computer (2) is blanked, remove the blanking plug.
2) Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open.
3) Make sure that the autopilot "AP MASTER" switch is set to "OFF".
4) Lubricate with grease TB 04-900, the 0-ring of the static union located on the rear of the flight computer.
5) Check pins of the connectors attached at the bottom of the flight computer rack (1) for condition.
6) Install the flight computer in the rack.
7) Put the wrench Allen 3/32 in the orifice (3). Screw the locking device and check the equipment is in correct position.
8) If the flight computer has been replaced, refer to HONEYWELL Installation and Maintenance Manual, P/N 006-00776-0000 at Amendment D or above. Perform the maintenance procedure specified in Paragraph 6, section "KFC 225 maintenance matrix" relative to the removal of the KC 225 flight computer.
9) Test tightness of the static circuit — refer to 34-11-00.
10) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris.
11) If the flight computer has been replaced, perform a check flight.
