2) Open "AP CMPTR" and "AP SERVOS" circuit breakers located on the circuit breaker panel.
3) Install the controls immobilization tool on the pilot's control wheel.
4) Install the warning sign prohibiting elevator trim tab operation.
5) Open baggage compartment door 219 and remove compartment bottom door 242.
6) Disconnect connector (13). Cut the tie-wraps attaching the cable.
7) Hold B38 pitch trim servo actuator (12), remove bolts (1) and (15) and washer (2).
8) Remove B38 pitch trim servo actuator (12). Install a blanking plug on the connector.
9) If B38 pitch trim servo actuator (12) must be replaced, remove and retain screws (21), discard captive nuts (20).
2. INSTALLATION OF B38 PITCH TRIM SERVO ACTUATOR (Figure 401)
WARNING : SERVO ACTUATORS OF DIFFERENT CHAINS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE, CHECK PART NUMBER BEFORE INSTALLATION.
A. Tools and consumable material - Loctite (TB 08-013C)
B. Procedure
1) If B38 pitch trim servo actuator (12) is replaced, install new captive nuts (20) and secure them with screws (21).
NOTE : Apply a thin layer of Loctite (TB 08-013C) on the screw threads during installation.
2) Install B38 pitch trim servo actuator (12) and secure it with bolts (1) and (15) and washer (2).
3) Remove the blanking plug from the connector of B38 pitch trim servo actuator.
4) Connect connector (13) and secure the cable with tie-wraps.
5) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris.
6) Install compartment bottom door 242 and close baggage compartment door 219.
7) Remove the warning sign prohibiting elevator trim tab operation.
8) Remove the controls immobilization tool from pilot's control wheel.

9) Close "AP CMPTR" and "AP SERVOS" circuit breakers.
10) Perform the tests specified in HONEYWELL Installation and Maintenance Manual, P/N 006-00776-0000 Paragraph 6 section "KFC 225 Maintenance Matrix".
3. REMOVAL OF THE MOUNTING PLATE (Figures 401 and 402)
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Two cable clamps P/N T700A2799000008
- Immobilization tool P/N T700A2799000009
B. Procedure
1) Remove B38 pitch trim servo actuator (12) — refer to Paragraph 1.
2) Remove the fuselage tail cone assembly 222.
3) Install cable clamp (32) at rear spool (38) location.
4) Install the cable clamp (32) at pulleys (31) location.
5) Remove bolt (41), washer (42) and guard (40).
6) Cut the lockwire of pulley support flange (7).
7) Remove bolt (5), washers (6) and nut (9). Discard nut.
8) Remove bolt (19), washer (18) and pulley support flange (7).
