3. DESCRIPTION
A. A82 flight computer
A82 flight computer consists of an electronic box used as a flight computer, as a mode selector and as an altitude preselector. It encloses the processing circuits.
A82 flight computer receives data from the following components :
- M76 encoding altimeter,
- control switches and pushbuttons located on pilot's control wheel,
- M30 flight director indicator (roll and pitch attitude data),
- M73 horizontal situation indicator (selected course and heading data),
- radionavigation system [VOR, LOC, GS, MKR and GPS (if installed) data],
A82 flight computer processes these data and generates command signals which are sent to the servo actuators when the autopilot mode is engaged.
With KI256 flight director indicator
A82 flight computer generates command signals of the command bar of the M30 flight director indicator. The command bar indicates the computed piloting commands with respect to the symbolic aircraft.
All
A82 flight computer also ensures system monitoring and disables autopilot engagement when the preflight test has not been successfully completed.
