a) Install servo—actuator on work bench according to Detail A.
b) Dynamometer uncoupled.
c) Connect electrically according to Detail B.
d) Close "K" switch ; this actuates the engagement and the crankpin turns ; to reverse direction of rotation, tilt "J".
e) Open "K" to stop ; attach the dynamometer to the crankpin hinge line.
f) Close "K".
g) Read corresponding force on the dynamometer and compare it with Paragraph 3D.
h) Open "K".
i) Reset if necessary, then safety nut in position — refer to Paragraph 3C.
2) Procedure for pitch trim (Figures 204 and 205)
a) Install servo—actuator on work bench according to Figure 205.
b) Dynamometer uncoupled.
c) Connect electrically according to Figure 204, Detail B.
d) Close "K" switch ; this actuates the engagement and the pulley—capstan turns ; matchmark the direction of rotation and reverse through "J" if necessary.
e) Close "K" and read the value of stress "Fl" on dynamometer. This stress reduced of 11 lbs (5 kg) "F2" corresponding to the cable tension, represents the maximum differential stress supplied by the pulley—capstan, provided that you check if this is the clutch skidding and not the cable sliding on the pulley—capstan.
NOTE : If the cable slides, increase the weight which tightens the cable until you get the adherence of cable / pulley—capstan.
f) Apply the formula : "F" = Fl — F2
F : limit stress of the servo—actuator in kg Fl : stress read on the dynamometer in kg F2 : weight used for the cable tension in kg
g) Open "K".
h) Compare "F" with the tolerances given in the table Paragraph 3D.
i) Reset if necessary, then safety nut in position — refer to Paragraph 3C.

C. Setting of servo—actuator stress limiters
— Remove stress limiters so as to test stress limiter on work bench — see Paragraph 2B.
— Stress limit is defined at the link (roll and pitch) and at the cable (pitch trim). It must be measured with the dynamometer in the rotation plane of the hinge line, the pull direction must draw a 90° angle with the lever arm.
