1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is the instruction to remove the drive motor. The second task is the instructions to install the drive motor.

2. Remove the Drive Motor (Rotary Actuator) (Fig. 401)________________________________________

B. Procedure

(1)
Open these circuit breakers on the APU external power panel, P34, and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
34A7, AFT CARGO LOADER CONT
(b)
34B16, AFT CARGO LOADER DRIVE
(2)
Open the access door on module 2.
(3)
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the drive motor (1).
(4)
Remove the nuts (4), the washers (3), and the mount bolts (2).
(5)
Remove the drive motor (1).

MAKE SURE THE DRIVE SCREW SHAFT EXTENDS (ROTARY ACTUATOR)A MINIMUM OF 0.875 INCH MORE THAN THE
MOTOR MOUNT. THIS MAKES SURE THERE IS DRIVE SCREW
SUFFICIENT SPLINE ENGAGEMENT BETWEEN THE
DRIVE SCREW SHAFT AND THE DRIVE MOTOR

Make sure the set screw is in the up position and the load arm points forward (View A-A).

Make sure the drive screw extends out from the motor mount the distance shown (View B).

(3)
Install the drive motor (1) on the drive screw, with the splines on the drive screw aligned with the splines on the drive motor (1).
(4)
Turn the drive motor (1) until the mount bolt holes are aligned.
(5)
Install the mount bolts (2), washers (3), and nuts (4).
