CARGO LOADER SYSTEMS - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES (DEACTIVATION)

1. General
_______
A. This contains two tasks. The first task is the deactivation instructions for the forward or aft cargo loader. If the power drive system fails, the cargo loader can be deactivated and locked in the fully extended position. The second task gives the activation instructions for the forward and aft cargo loader systems.
B. The modules must be fully extended and deactivated correctly before flight.
C. If an electrical failure occurs with the modules not fully extended, you must deactivate the cargo loader system.

(1) For the forward cargo compartment, open these circuit breakers on the ground handling bus of the APU external power panel, P34, and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

34B14, FWD CARGO LOADER DRIVE

For the aft cargo loader, open these circuit breakers on the ground handling bus of APU external power panel, P34, and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

34A7, AFT CARGO LOADER CONT
(b)
34B16, AFT CARGO LOADER DRIVE

Open the access door on the module.

NOTE: In the forward compartment, the access panel is on module 3.
