 PRE SB RA32171-4 NOTE : Installation of the hardware that attach the engine brackets to
____ the engine flange is the same for both brackets.
 NOTE : Installation of the hardware that attach the forward engine mount
____ links to the engine brackets is the same at both locations.
 (1) Put the shear pins (75) in the recessed holes in the engine flange.

 (2) Attach the brackets (35) and (55) to the engine core flange with the bolts (80), (90), (100) and the washers (85), (95), (105).

 (3) TORQUE the bolts (100) to between 62 and 68 lbf.ft (8.40 and 9.21 m.daN).

 (4) TORQUE the bolts (80) and (90) to between 14 and 19 lbf.ft (1.89 and


 2.57 m.daN).
R (5) Safety the bolts (80), (90) and (100) with lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 R mm) dia. (Material No. CP8001), or safety cable 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) R dia. (Material No. CP8006).

 (6) Apply a thin layer of grease (Material No. CP2860) to the bearing support at the forward end of the engine mount (30).

 (7) Attach the engine mount (30) to the engine flange with the bolts (45) and the washers (40).

 (8) TORQUE the bolts (45) to between 28 and 29 lbf.ft (3.79 and 3.93 m.daN).


R (9) Safety the bolts (45) with lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. (Material
R No. CP8001), or safety cable 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. (Material No.
R CP8006).

 (10) Put the retainers (70) between the links and the engine brackets (35) and (55).

 (11) Attach the engine mount links to the engine brackets (35) and (55) with the bolts (20), the washers (25) and the nuts (50).

 (12) Torque the bolts.


 CAUTION : USE TWO WRENCHES WHEN YOU TORQUE THE BOLT AND NUT. THE NUT
_______ CAN TURN. IF THE NUT TURNS IT CAN DAMAGE THE LINK.
 (a) TORQUE the bolts (20) to 260 lbf.in (2.93 m.daN).
 (13) Put the retainers (15) on the links against the retainers (70) and make sure the bolt holes are aligned.

 (14) If the bolt holes are not aligned, increase the torque on the bolts


 (20) to align the bolt holes in the retainers (15) and (70).
 NOTE : Do not TORQUE the bolt more than to 320 lbf.in (3.61 m.daN).

 (15) If the bolt holes are aligned, install the bolts (5), the washers (10), (65) and the nuts (60).
 NOTE : Make sure that you put the countersunk washers under the bolt
____
 heads.

 (16) TORQUE the nuts (60) to between 24 and 27 lbf.in (0.27 and 0.30 m.daN).

 NOTE : Installation of the hardware that attaches the links to the engine

 (1) Put the shear pins (75) in the recessed holes in the engine flange.

 (2) Attach the brackets (35) and (55) to the engine core flange with the bolts (80), (90), (100) and the washers (85), (95), (105).

 (3) TORQUE the bolts (80) and (90) to between 14 and 19 lbf.ft (1.89 and

 2.57 m.daN).

 (4) TORQUE the bolts (100) to between 62 and 68 lbf.ft (8.40 and 9.21 m.daN).


R (5) Safety the bolts (80), (90) and (100) with lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 R mm) dia. (Material No. CP8001), or safety cable 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) R dia. (Material No. CP8006).
 (6) Apply a thin layer of grease (Material No. CP2860) to the bearing support at the forward end of the engine mount (30).

 (7) Attach the engine mount (30) to the engine flange with the bolts (45) and the washers (40).

 (8) TORQUE the bolts (45) to between 28 and 29 lbf.ft (3.79 and 3.93 m.daN).


R (9) Safety the bolts (45) with lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. (Material
R No. CP8001), or safety cable 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. (Material No.
R CP8006).

 (10) Cleaning.
