(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

A. Remove the filler plugs of the hoist points from the fan cowl door . Keep the plugs for installations when the task is completed.

B. Installation of the Tooling
(1) Install the universal attach pads (15) in the hoist points of the fan cowl door (10).
(2) Attach the SLING - FAN COWL (RSE1113) (5) to the universal attach pads (15).

C. Removal of the Fan Cowl CAUTION : DO NOT LIFT OR LOWER THE FAN COWL DOOR AFTER THE REMOVAL OF THE
_______ HINGE BOLTS OR THE UPPER DOOR SEAL MAY BE DAMAGED. MOVE THE DOOR AWAY FROM THE PYLON AFTER THE HINGE BOLTS ARE REMOVED TO AVOID SEAL DAMAGE.

(1) Lift the fan cowl door (10) until the weight of the door is supported by the fan cowl sling (5).
(2) Remove the cotter pins (40) from the hinge bolts (20).
(3) Remove the hinge bolts (20), the washers (30), (45), and the nuts (25).
(4) Remove the fan cowl door (10) from the engine and put it on the DOLLY
- FAN COWL (RSE1115). Subtask 71-13-11-080-056
D. Removal of the Tooling
(1) Remove the SLING - FAN COWL (RSE1113) from the universal attach pads (15).
(2) Remove the universal attach pads (15) from the fan cowl door (10). Subtask 71-13-11-420-056
E. Install the filler plugs at the hoist points.

Installation of the Fan Cowl Doors
CAUTION : ADJUST THE FAN COWL DOORS WHEN A NEW FAN COWL IS INSTALLED. IF THE

FAN COWL DOORS ARE NOT CORRECTLY ADJUSTED THE DOORS CAN OPEN IN
FLIGHT.
1. Reason for the Job

NOTE : If the fan cowl to be removed has a strake installed, the replacement
____ fan cowl must also have a strake installed. For aircraft A320, strakes must be installed on the inner side only.
R For aircraft A318, A319, A321, strakes must be installed on both R sides.
NOTE : Engine and Nacelle are 2 ways interchangeable but with condition
____ R (Refer to AI SIL 71-037).
