D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Connect a ground hydraulic supply with a flowmeter to the ground test connections of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(2)
In the main landing gear compartment, disconnect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(3)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(4)
Set the ECAM system to on (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

(5)
On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal, push the F/CTL pushbutton (P/B). Make sure the lower display unit (DU) shows the F/CTL page.
(6)
Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system from the ground supply (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
(7)
On the overhead panel 23VU, make sure that the ELAC 1 and SEC 1 pushbutton switches P/BSW are set to on (OFF and FAULT lights not on).
(8)
On the overhead panel 24VU, make sure that the ELAC 2, SEC 2, SEC 3 and FAC 2 P/BSW are set to on (OFF and FAULT lights not on).
(9)
On the overhead panel 40VU set the PTU P/BSW to OFF (the OFF light comes on).
WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS ARE
_______ CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE.
(10)
Operate the sidestick and rudder pedals to put the control surfaces associated with the Yellow hydraulic system in the 0 deg position (spoilers retracted).
(11)
Keep all of the control surfaces stopped in the 0 deg (retracted) position during measurement of internal leakage.
NOTE : Do the checks of internal leakage with the hydraulic fluid at
____ its usual working temperature of between 20 deg.C (68.00 deg.F) and 60 deg.C (140.00 deg.F).

A. Check of the Internal Leakage of the Yellow Hydraulic System
(1) Measurement of the Yellow system (complete) internal leakage
(a)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/Y P/BSW is set to on (OFF light not on).
(b)
On the overhead panel 40VU, make sure that the PTU P/BSW is set to OFF (the OFF light is on).
