Bleeding Procedure
(1)
Make sure that the pressure in the ground power cart is not less than 206 +3 -0 bar (2987.7766 +43.5113 -0.0000 psi) (Refer to the HYD page on the lower ECAM DU).
(2)
Make sure that the flow in the ground power cart is not less than 95 l.min (25.0961 USgal.mn).
(3)
Make sure that the fluid level in the Blue hydraulic reservoir is not below the low level warning.
(4)
Do the bleeding procedure

1. On the test set: On the test set:
-push the lamp test switch. - all the lamps come on
2. On the test set:
-set the aircraft selector
switch to the A320 position.
3. Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system also with the Blue Electric Pump (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
NOTE : The operation of the electric pump and the ground supply is necessary
____
to supply the RAT with sufficient flow.
4. On the test set:
-set and hold the PUMP/SPIN
speed indicator switch in the
SPIN position.
5. On the ground cart:

CAUTION : STOP THE TEST

-increase the pressure to 2800 psi (refer to the HYD page on the ECAM lower DU)
6. On the test set
-release the PUMP/SPIN switch
7. If the test does not give the correct results, you must:
-do the steps that follows in the given sequence until you find the defect(s)
The RAT turns at its normal speed (5210to 5590 rpm) in approximately 20 s.
On the test set
-the green indicator light comes on and stays on.
NOTE : The RAT speed remains almost
____ constant within a range of between 5210 and 5590 rpm.
On the ground cart:
-
the pressure is 206 +3 -0 bar (2990 +45 -0.0 psi).
-
the flow is between 70 l.min (18.4918 USgal.mn) and 75 l.min (19.8127 USgal.mn)
On the test set
-
the green indicator light goes off,
-
the amber OIL PRESSURE indicator light comes on for some seconds, (the pump changes from the motor to the pump mode)
-
the RAT speed decreases and stops.

D. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1)
Stop the Blue electric pump and the ground power cart to depressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2)
On the maintenance panel 50VU, set the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/B pushbutton switch to the on position.
