A. Operational Test WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE RAT TRAVEL RANGE IS CLEAR BEFORE YOU

EXTEND/RETRACT THE RAT.
NOTE : A second person must examines the extension of the RAT before you

push the RAT MAN ON pushbutton.
NOTE : Do not operate the RAT deployment solenoids for more than 60
____ seconds. You can operate them more than once during the test. When the total operation time (solenoid energized) is 60 seconds, you must let the solenoids cool for 30 minutes.

-lift the cover and push the RAT - the RAT extends.

Retract the RAT (Ref. TASK 29-22- - the RAT returns to its stowage. 00-869-002).

On the overhead panel 21VU: At the RAT:
-lift the cover and push the MAN - the RAT extends.
ON/AUTO switch in the EMER ELEC
PWR section.

B. Preparation for the Bleeding Procedure
(1)
Install the PROTECTION EQUIPMENT - RAT.
(2)
Connect the CONTROL UNIT - RAT (682003008) to the ground test connector of the RAT ground control panel 2815GE.
(3)
Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system with the ground power cart (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
