WARNING : OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
_______
(1)
Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(2)
Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
-in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel, - on the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
(3)
Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4)
Depressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
Subtask 29-10-00-010-062
B. Open the access door 195BB.
Subtask 29-10-00-941-055
C. Put a container in position under the filter to collect the hydraulic fluid.
4. Procedure
_________
(Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 29-10-00-991-003) Subtask 29-10-00-440-052
A. Reactivation of the Case Drain Filter (2084GM)
(1)
Do the trouble-shooting of the system to find the cause of the clogged filter and do the applicable corrective actions (Ref. TSM 290000500).
(2)
Remove and discard the lockwire between the filter bowl (3) and the filter head (1).
(3)
Remove the filter bowl (3).
(4)
Make sure that the O-ring (4) is correctly installed on the new filter element (2).
(5)
Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the O-ring (4) and to the threads of the filter bowl (3).
(6)
Do a check of the filter element (2) and make sure that it is clean and not damaged.
(7)
Put the filter element (2) together with the O-ring (4) in position in the filter bowl (3).
(8)
Install the filter bowl (3) together with the filter element (2) in the filter head (1).
(9)
Tighten the filter bowl (3) with your hands.
(10)
Safety the filter bowl (3) to the filter head (1) with lockwire, corrosion-resistant steel, dia. 0.8 mm (0.032 in.).
(11)
If the red clogging indicator is out, push it in to set it again.
Subtask 29-10-00-860-094
B. Preparation for the Test
(1)
Make sure that the content of the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system are correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(2)
Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(4)
Remove the container. Subtask 29-10-00-790-051
C.
Test
(1)
Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system with the electric pump (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
(2)
Make sure there are no leaks from the filter assembly, and that the clogging indicator stays in.
(3)
If the clogging indicator comes out, push it in to set it again. If it will not stay in, do the trouble-shooting of the filter assembly to find the cause.
(4)
Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
5. Close-up
