-in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel, - on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(6)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
-put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(7)
Make sure that the engine 1 (2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(8)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
-make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1 (2) pushbutton switch is off.
(9)
Put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1 (2).

A. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Hydraulic Pressure Switch Line for Clamp Chafing Damage and Preload Condition
(1) Do the inspection of the line (2) and the electrical connector of the pressure switch (6) as given in the subsequent worksteps:
(a)
Remove the bolts (5) with the washers (4). During the removal, do a check for pre-tension of the line (2) in the inboard or outboard direction.
(b)
Remove the clamps (1).
(c)
Examine the clamp insert, the clamp metal band and the line (2) for any chafing damage or wear at the clamp locations.
1 If the line (2) shows signs of wear or damage to a depth of
_ 0.003 in. (0.0761 mm) or more, replace it (Ref. TASK 29-11-49-000-005) and (Ref. TASK 29-11-49-400-005).
2 If the line (2) shows signs of wear or damage to a depth of
_ less than 0.003 in. (0.0761 mm), do the "chafe blend repair" procedures (Ref. Engine Shop Manual 71-09-00).
3 If the metal band, the insert or a clamp (1) is damaged,
_
replace it.
(d)
Examine the electrical harness and the connector of the pressure switch (1074GK) and (3074GD) for damage and loose or missing lockwire.
(e)
Examine the connector to backshell for correct tightening and good condition of the threads. If necessary, replace the connector.
(f)
Wind a maximum of two layers RL-6000-SAEL 1.00 inch. (25.4 mm) wide self adhering silicone tape at the clamp locations of the line (2).

R (2) Install the line (2) as given in the subsequent worksteps when you
R found pre-tension of the line (2) during the removal of the bolts (5)
R and the washers (4).
R CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION_______
R WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF
R YOU USE THE SECOND WRENCH, YOU WILL NOT LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN
R THE UNION TOO MUCH.
R (a) Loosen both line end fittings (7) and (3).
R (b) Loosely attach the clamps (1) with the bolts (5) and the washers
R (4) and make sure that the line (2) has no pre-tension. If
R necessary, loosen the clamps of the hydraulic pressure hose
R (Ref. TASK 29-11-49-000-002) and the clamp of the pressure switch
R (6).
R (c) Tighten the line end fittings (7), (3) with your hand.
R (d) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 20 and 25 lbf.in (0.22 and 0.28
R m.daN) .
