D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Connect a ground hydraulic supply with a flowmeter to the ground test connections of the Blue hydraulic system.
(2)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3)
Set the ECAM system to ON (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4)
On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal, push the F/CTL pushbutton (P/B). Make sure that the lower display unit (DU) shows the F/CTL page.
(5)
Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system from the ground supply (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).

(6)
On the overhead panel 23VU, make sure that the ELAC 1 and SEC 1 pushbutton switches (P/BSW) are set to on (OFF and FAULT lights not on).
(7)
On the overhead panel 24VU, make sure that the ELAC 2, SEC 2 and SEC 3 P/BSW are set to on (OFF and FAULT lights not on).
WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS ARE
_______ CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE.
(8)
Operate the sidestick and rudder pedals to put the control surfaces associated with the Blue hydraulic system to the 0 deg. position (spoilers retracted).
(9)
Keep all of the control surfaces stopped in the 0 deg (retracted) position during measurement of internal leakage.
NOTE : Do the checks of internal leakage with the hydraulic fluid at
____ its usual working temperature of between 20 deg.C (68.00 deg.F) and 60 deg.C (140.00 deg.F).
4. Procedure

A. Check of the Internal Leakage of the Blue Hydraulic System
(1) Measurement of the Blue system (complete) internal leakage
(a)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/B P/BSW is set to on (OFF light not on).
(b)
Monitor the flow shown on the ground supply flowmeter. It must not be more than 7.5 l.min (1.9812 USgal.mn).
(c)
If the internal leakage is too much, do the checks of sections of the system to find the cause.
(2) Measurement of the Blue system (central section) internal leakage **ON A/C 001-049, 051-061, 101-105, 201-203,

(a)
On the ground hydraulic supply, stop the supply of hydraulic fluid to the aircraft.
(b)
On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal, push the HYD P/B. Make sure that the lower DU shows the HYD page.
(c)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, lift the guard and set the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/B P/BSW to off (OFF light comes on).
(d)
On the ground hydraulic supply, increase the supply of hydraulic pressure to 3000 psi (206 bar).
(e)
Refer to the lower DU to make sure that the solenoid valve operation is correct (the color of the flow arrow and system name of the Blue system is amber).
(f)
In the Blue system compartment, make sure that the three valves on the leakage measurement selector valve are set to OFF.
(g)
Monitor the flow shown on the ground supply flowmeter. It must not be more than 0.7 l.min (0.1849 USgal.mn).
(3) Measurement of the Blue system (rear section) internal leakage
