If you open the No. 2 cargo door, remove the four bolts that hold the cargo compartment ceiling panel.
NOTE: THE CARGO COMPARTMENT CEILING PANEL IS IN THE HINGE SUPPORT
STRUCTURE WHICH IS BELOW THE EMERGENCY ACCESS PANEL.

Get access to the rotary actuators through the access panel openings and remove the three bolts from each actuator.

Remove the rotary actuators through the access panel openings.

Use the sling and the hoist to lower the door to hang on its hinges.

2-40-3 No. 3 Bulk Cargo Door

The cargo door (No. 3), which was an optional door installed on some airplanes, may be on your airplane. It is connected at the top of the door and opens into the airplane (see Figure 2-25). The door is on the right side of the lower aft fuselage. The door is 48 inches (121.9 cm) wide and is approximately 32 inches (81.3 cm) high at the centerline of the door. The door centerline is at Body Station 1566.4.

The door has two hinge arms. The door has a counterbalance mechanism that lifts it to the open position and holds it in the open position. See Figure 2-25 for more structural and mechanical data on the door.

You can only operate the door manually. You can do this with different handles that are on the inner side or the external side of the door.

The cargo door for the main deck is connected at the top of the door. It opens away from the airplane. It is on the left side of the fuselage in front of the wing.
