1. Use these steps as an aid (guide or checklist) to prepare for an airplane recovery operation:
A. Before You are On the Site:
(1)
Get initial data about the incident.
(2)
Speak to an agent at the airport in the recovery area. Also speak to an agent of the local airline or to your agent.
(3)
Send a person to make a careful inspection of the recovery location.
(4)
Schedule persons, equipment, and manuals.
