Six other fuse pins connect the gear to wing structure. One fuse pin attaches the trunnion link into the forward trunnion bearing. Four fuse pins attach the aft trunnion bearing housing to the main landing gear support beam. One more fuse pin attaches the reaction link to the forward trunnion bearing housing at the outboard end of the link.

The main landing gear support beam is attached to wing structure at the outboard end by another fuse pin. This pin is designed to fail first under excessive vertical loads.

MAIN GEAR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General

A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task removes the main
landing gear. The second task installs the main landing gear. GUN B. When you lift the airplane to remove the main landing gear, do the steps GUN that follow: GUN (1) Adjust the height of the airplane on the jacks to permit removal of GUN the wheel, brake and brake rod (AMM 32-45-01/401, AMM 32-41-10/401 GUN and AMM 32-11-19/401). GUN (2) Install the dolley. GUN C. When the main landing gear is installed, remove the dolley. Install the GUN brakes, brake rods and wheels after you install the positioner actuator.
