Put the inner cylinder in position on the truck assembly.

Install the pin to attach the inner cylinder to the truck assembly (AMM 32-11-17/401).

(4) S 434-008Connect the brake rods to the inner cylinder (AMM 32-11-19/401).
(5) S 494-010Install thread protectors onto the outer cylinder.
(6) S 984-011Move the inner cylinder and truck assembly into position under the outer cylinder.
(7) S 984-012Align the inner and outer cylinder.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE INNER CYLINDER IN THE CENTER OF THE
_______ OUTER CYLINDER AS THE AIRPLANE IS LOWERED. MONITOR THE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE INNER CYLINDER AND THE OUTER CYLINDER TO MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INTERNAL COMPONENTS OF THE STRUT.

Carefully lower the airplane (AMM 07-11-01/201). Make sure the fore-and-aft and the inboard-outboard axes stay aligned as the airplane is lowered. Roll the truck assembly forward and aft as necessary to keep the inner cylinder in the center of the outer cylinder as the airplane is lowered.

Lower the airplane so the lower bearing on the inner cylinder is still outside the outer cylinder.

Hold the lower bearing and remove the puller assembly.
