WARNING: MAKE SURE THE DOWNLOCKS ARE INSTALLED ON THE NOSE AND MAIN
_______ LANDING GEAR BEFORE YOU MOVE THE CONTROL LEVER FOR THE LANDING GEAR. IF THE CONTROL LEVER IS MOVED WITHOUT THE DOWNLOCKS INSTALLED, THE LANDING GEAR CAN RETRACT AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Make sure the downlocks are installed on the nose and main landing gear (AMM 32-00-20/201).

Put the control lever for the landing gear in the OFF position. Attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Remove the support bracket(s) for the electrical and the hydraulic lines from the upper torsion link.

Hold the torsion links.

Remove the bracket bolts that are near the nut on the apex pin. This will disconnect the support bracket from the collar.
