(1) Removal
(a)
Lightly tap the case to remove the Ball Bearings (02-410), (02-420) and if applicable (02-430) and (02-440).
(b)
If necessary, install the Case (02-450) in a Heating Unit at 150 °C (320 °F) for 1 h.
(c)
If necessary, lightly apply grease AEROSHELL 7 (M26C) to the special tool 09P1231 (Ref. to Fig. 6001).
(d)
Remove the Lip Seal (02-400) and the Roller Bearing (02-390) from the Case (02-450) with the special tool 09P1231 and a Hydraulic Press.

(2) Installation
(a) Installation of the Roller Bearing and Lip Seal

Install the Case (02-450) in a Heating Unit at 150 °C (320 °F) for 1 h. 2
Lightly apply grease AEROSHELL 7 (M26C) to the Lip Seal (02-400) (at outer diameter).

3 Set the Lip Seal (02-400) on the special tools 09P1180, 09P1181A and 09P1181B (Ref. to Fig. 6001).
4 Carefully install the Lip Seal (02-400) in the Case 02-450 with a hydraulic press set to 200 daN (449 lbf).
5 Make sure that the Lip Seal (02-400) is fully in contact with the Case (02-450).
6 Remove the special tools.
7 Lightly apply grease AEROSHELL 7 (M26C) to the Roller Bearing (02-390) (at outer diameter).
8 Set the Roller Bearing (02-390)09P1181B. on the special tools 09P1180, 09P1181A and
9 Carefully install the Roller Bearing (02-390) in the Case (02-450) with a hydraulic press set to 800 daN (1798 lbf).
10 Make sure that the Roller Bearing (02-390) is fully in contact with the Case (02-450).
11 Do a check of the centering of the Lip Seal (02-400).
(b) Installation of the Ball Bearings
1 Install the Ball Bearings (02-410), (02-420) and if applicable (02-430) and (02-440) with a Manual Press at ambient temperature.
2 If necessary for installation, lightly apply grease AEROSHELL 7 (M26C) to the Ball Bearings (02-410), (02-420) and if applicable (02-430) and (02-440) (at outer diameter).
