CAUTION: BEFORE YOU DO THE INSULATION TEST, MAKE SURE THAT THE ACTUATOR IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE ELECTRICAL TEST-UP.
(a) For Versions ABCDE
ACTION  RESULT

1  Make sure that pin M of the connector is connected to the casing of the actuator.
2  Connect pins H, J, K, L, N, R and V together.
3  Connect pins G, P, S, A, B, C, D, E, F ,T and U together and to the Ground.
4  Apply 500 VDC between pins [ H, J, K, L, N, R and V together ] and pins [ G, P, S, A, B, C, D, E, F ,T and U together ] during 1 mn.
5  Disconnect all wires.
6  Connect pins A, B, C, D, E, F ,T and U together.
7  Connect pins G, P, S, H, J, K, L, N, R and V together to pin M and to the Ground.
8  Apply 45 VDC voltage between pins [ A, B, C, D, E, F ,T and U together ] and pins [ G, P, S, H, J, K, L, N, R and V together to pin M and to the ground] during 1 mn.
Make sure that insulation resistance is more than 100 M..

(a)  For Versions ABC
ACTION  RESULT

1  Remove the protective sleeve or the protective jacket from the ball-screw.
2  Connect the actuator to the Electrical Test Set-Up (ratiometers) (Ref. to Fig. 1001).
3  Carefully set the auto-transformer to have a very low displacement speed (lower than 1 mm/s (0.039 in/s)).
4  Set the actuator to the MECHANICAL STOP EXTENDED position (door fully closed) (Ref. to Fig. 1002).
5  (Ref. to Fig. 1005).
6  Measure the distance DRF between the measurement point X and the measurement point Y.
7  Measure the total resistance X of the main potentiometer between pin A and pin C of the connector.
8  Measure the total resistance Y of the secondary potentiometer between pin D and pin F of the connector.
9  Calculate |X – Y|.
10 Measure, with the ratiometers, the voltage ratio AB/AC between pin A and pin B and between pin A and pin C (AC).
Record DRF.
Make sure that X = 6600 ± 660 .. Record X.
Make sure that Y = 6600 ± 660 .. Record Y.
Make sure that |X – Y| < 660 .. Record |X – Y|.
Make sure that AB/AC = 0.9273 + 0/- 0.0080.
Record AB/AC.
