(1) Check before repair
(a) Determine whether any part has been modified or superseded by other parts (refer to Page Block 10001).
D. Procedure WARNING: DISCONNECT THE EQUIPMENT FROM POWER SUPPLIES OR TEST EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOU DO THE CHECK. CAUTION: REJECT ALL DEFECTIVE PARTS FOR WHICH NO REPAIR PROCEDURE IS SPECIFIED. CAUTION: ALL CHECKS SHALL BE CARRIED OUT ON CLEANED PARTS
(REFER TO PAGE BLOCK 4001).
Subtask 21-53-12-220-001-A01
(1) Visual inspection
CAUTION: ALL DEFECTIVE PART WILL BE SYSTEMATICALLY REPLACED.
(a)
Determine whether any parts have been modified or superseded by other parts.
(b)
Examine all parts for abrasion, cracks, distortion and scratches.
(c)
Examine all sealing surfaces for indentations, nicks and scratches.
(d)
Examine all threads for damage.
(e)
Examine the surface finish of contact areas for good condition in particular at location of connecting flanges, flaps mating surface and flap seat on body.
NOTE: Washers, nuts and screws shall be discarded if damaged.
(f)
Make sure the attachment legs, electrical connectors and all screws are tight.
(g)
Examine the electrical connector and make sure that:
-the electrical wiring does not show all signs of damage (cuts, Brakes, etc.),
-no oxidation is apparent on the connector,
-the insulating sleeves are not split or burnt,

(2) Check of bearing
(a)
Turn the bearings slowly by hand, check that running is silent and that there is no binding or sticking.
(b)
If defects such as wear, discoloration due to heating or abnormal noises are found, replace the bearings.
