9. Special Use Airspace (SUA) Status—Text/graphical report: Establishes/designates airspace in the interest of National Defense, security and/or welfare. Charted SUA identi.es to other airspace users where these activities occur. SUA is airspace of de.ned dimensions wherein activities must be con.ned because of their nature, or wherein limitations may be imposed upon air-craft operations that are not a part of those activities.

10. Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) and their amend-ments (AMEND)—Text report: Routine forecast that gives a con-cise statement of expected meteorological conditions for a speci-.ed time period within .ve statute miles (SM) of the center of the airport’s runway complex (terminal). TAFs are amended whenever they become, in the forecaster’s judgment, unrepresentative of existing or expected conditions, particularly regarding those ele-ments and events signi.cant to aircraft and airports. An amended forecast is identi.ed by TAF AMD (in place of TAF) on the .rst line of the forecast text.

11. Temperature Aloft—Text report: Computer prepared forecasts, based on North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model run, of temperature at speci.ed times, altitudes, and loca-tions.
