Receive a logbook endorsement from the authorized instructor who provided the training speci.ed in paragraph (a)(1) of this section certifying that you are pro.cient in the operation of light-sport aircraft that is an airplane with a VH less than or equal to 87 knots CAS.
(b)
If you hold a sport pilot certi.cate and you seek to operate a light-sport aircraft that has a VH greater than 87 knots CAS you must—
(1)
Receive and log ground and .ight training from an autho-rized instructor in an aircraft that has a VH greater than 87 knots CAS; and
(2)
Receive a logbook endorsement from the authorized instructor who provided the training speci.ed in paragraph (b)(1)
of this section certifying that you are pro.cient in the operation of light-sport aircraft with a VH greater than 87 knots CAS.
(c) The training and endorsements required by paragraph (a) of this section are not required if you have logged .ight time as pilot in command of an airplane with a VH less than or equal to 87 knots CAS prior to April 2, 2010.

Amend Section 61.415 by revising the introductory text and para-graphs (a)(1) and (g), removing paragraph (e), redesignating paragraph (f) as paragraph (e), and adding new paragraph (f) to read as follows:

If you hold a .ight instructor certi.cate with a sport pilot rating, you may only provide .ight training in a light-sport aircraft and are subject to the following limits:
