Amend Section 61.113 by:
a.
Amending paragraph (a) by removing the words “para-graphs (b) through (g)” and adding in their place the words “paragraphs (b) through (h)”; and

b.
Adding paragraph (h) to read as follows:


§61.113 Private pilot privileges and limitations: Pilot in command.

(h)
A private pilot may act as pilot in command for the purpose of conducting a production .ight test in a light-sport aircraft intended for certi.cation in the light-sport category under §21.190 of this chapter, provided that—

(1)
The aircraft is a powered parachute or a weight-shift-control aircraft;

(2)
The person has at least 100 hours of pilot-in-command time in the category and class of aircraft .own; and

(3)
The person is familiar with the processes and procedures applicable to the conduct of production .ight testing, to include operations conducted under a special .ight permit and any asso-ciated operating limitations.

Amend Section 61.127 by:
a.
Redesignating paragraphs (b)(4)(vi) through (ix) as (b)(4)(vii) through (x);

b.

Redesignating existing paragraphs (b)(5)(viii) through (xiii) as (b)(5)(vii) through (xii).

Ten hours of instrument training using a view-limiting device including attitude instrument .ying, partial panel skills, recovery from unusual .ight attitudes, and intercepting and tracking naviga-tional systems. (iii) One 2-hour cross country .ight in a single engine airplane in daytime conditions that consists of a total straight-line distance of more than 100 nautical miles from the original point of departure;
(iv)
 One 2-hour cross country .ight in a single engine airplane in nighttime conditions that consists of a total straight-line dis-tance of more than 100 nautical miles from the original point of departure; and

(v)
Three hours in a single-engine airplane with an authorized instructor in preparation for the practical test within the preceding 2 calendar months from the month of the test.

Ten hours of solo .ight time in a single engine airplane or 10 hours of .ight time performing the duties of pilot in command in a single engine airplane with an authorized instructor on board (either of which may be credited towards the .ight time require-ment under paragraph (a)(2) of this section), on the areas of oper-ation listed under §61.127(b)(1) that include— * * * * *

This aeronautical experience may be performed in an aircraft, .ight simulator, .ight training device, or an aviation training device;
