Use a lint free cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean all the old sealant from the flap drive trunnion.
(4)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-013) to the mating surface of the flap drive trunnion and the new clamp assembly (4).
(5)
Install the new clamp assembly (4) onto the flap drive trunnion so that:
-
the short end of the pad is in the aft direction
-
the long end of the pad is in the forward direction.
(6)
Adjust the position of the clamp assembly (4) so that dimension X is between 38.0 mm (1.4960 in.) and 40.0 mm (1.5748 in.).
(7)
Safety the clamp assembly (4) onto the flap drive trunnion with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
(8)
Use a clean lint free cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to carefully remove any unwanted sealant from the drive trunnion/clamp assembly interface.
NOTE : You must wait 24 hours to let the clamp assembly bond fully to
____
the flap drive trunnion.

B. Replacement of the Clamp Assembly on the Flap Drive Trunnion
(1)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the clamp assembly (4).
(2)
Remove the clamp assembly (4) from the flap drive trunnion.
(3)
Use a lint free cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean all the old sealant from the flap drive trunnion.
(4)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-013) to the mating surface of the flap drive trunnion and the new clamp assembly (4).
(5)
Install the new clamp assembly (4) onto the flap drive trunnion so that:
-
the short end of the pad is in the aft direction
-
the long end of the pad is in the forward direction.
(6)
Adjust the position of the clamp assembly (4) so that dimension X is between 28.0 mm (1.1023 in.) and 32.0 mm (1.2598 in.).
(7)
Safety the clamp assembly (4) onto the flap drive trunnion with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
(8)
Use a clean lint free cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to carefully remove any unwanted sealant from the drive trunnion/clamp assembly interface.

C. Replacement of the Hook on the Sliding Panel
(1) Connect the hook (1) to the sliding panel (3) as follows:
(a)
Put the hook (1) in the correct position on the flap drive trunnion.
(b)
Move the sliding panel (3) and align the anchor-nuts in the hook
(1)
with the holes in the sliding panel (3).
(c)
Attach the hook (1) to the sliding panel (3) with the screws (2).
(d)
Torque tighten the screws (2) to between 0.80 and 0.90 m.daN
(70.79 and 79.64 lbf.in).

If a replacement hook has not been installed (reference Paragraph 4.C.), connect the hook (1) to the sliding panel (3) as follows:
(a)
Put the hook (1) in the correct position on the flap drive trunnion.
(b)
Move the sliding panel (3) and align the anchor-nuts in the hook

with the holes in the sliding panel (3).
(c)
Attach the hook (1) to the sliding panel (3) with the screws (2).
(d)
Torque tighten the screws (2) to between 0.80 and 0.90 m.daN
(70.79 and 79.64 lbf.in).
(2)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(3)
Remove the spark-proof lamp from the inspection area.
(4)
Install these wing to fuselage fairings (Ref. TASK 53-35-11-400-001):
-
for the LH flap remove fairings 193AB and 193BB
-
for the RH flap remove fairings 194AB and 194BB.
