R (c) Disconnect the lever (10) from the flap link arm (5).
R NOTE : The stops only limit the carriage movement, they do not____
R prevent flap movement.
R (d) Hold the trailing edge of the inboard flap with an adjustable
R strut.
R (e) Remove the PIN RIGGING FLAPS (which was installed for the removal
R of the actuator) (Ref. TASK 27-54-49-000-001) from the lever
R (10).
R (f) Remove the nuts (11) from the bolts (2), (3) and (4).
R (g) Remove the bolts (2), (3) and (4) and the cover shell (1).
R (h) Disconnect the No. 1 flap track beam from the aircraft structure
R at the forward and the rear mountings (Ref. TASK 57-51-33-000-
R 001).
R NOTE : This will give sufficient access to remove the____
R flap-actuator lever from the beam.
R (i) Remove the lever (10) from the No.1 flap track beam.

R B. Removal of the Flap-Actuator Lever Assembly - Track 2
R CAUTION : SUPPORT THE FLAP ALONG THE FULL LENGTH OF THE TRAILING EDGE._______
R THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE FLAP.
R (1) Use the hoisting sling to hold the weight of the inboard flap.
R (2) At the track 1 position:
R (Ref. Fig. 401B/TASK 27-54-55-991-001-C)
R (a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (9).
R (b) Remove the nut (8), the washer (7) and the bolt (6).
R (c) Disconnect the lever (10) from the flap link arm (5).
R (3) At the track 2 position:
R (Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 27-54-55-991-004)
R (a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (30).

R (b) Remove the nut (31), the washer (29) and the bolt (33).
R (c) Disconnect the lever (28) from the flap link arm (32).
R (d) Lower the inboard flap onto the stops at tracks 1 and 2.

R (e) Hold the trailing edge of the inboard flap with an adjustable
R strut.
R (f) Remove and discard the cotter pin (38).
R (g) Remove the nut (39), the bolt (27) and the retention plate (35).
R (h) Remove the nut (44) and the bolt (25).
R (i) Use the EXTRACTOR-HOUSING (FLAP TRACK RIBS 2, 3 AND 4 INBOARD)
R (98D27504025000) to remove the bearing housing (26).
R (j) Remove the PIN RIGGING FLAPS (which was installed for the removal
R of the actuator) (Ref. TASK 27-54-49-000-002) from the lever
R (28). Move the lever (28) inboard and remove it from the bearing
R housing (34).
R (k) Turn the lever (28) through 90 deg. and remove it from the
R brackets (36) on the rear spar.
R (l) Remove and discard the cotter pin (37). Use the SOCKET WRENCH -
R RETAINER NUT, TRACK 1 to remove the ring nut (40).
R (m) Use the EXTRACTOR - HOUSING (98D27504097000) to remove the
R bearing housing (34).
R (n) Remove the nuts (41), the bolts (43) and the anti-rotation plate
R (42).
