R  block 24CV is almost the same. The differences in the procedures 
R  are given in the steps that follow. 
R  (1) Install the new back-up rings (6) and the new O-rings (7) on the 
R  transfer tubes (8). 
R  (2) Install the new O-ring (1) on the POB (9). 
R  (3) Install the hydraulic motor on the POB. 
R  (a) Apply the SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the threads 
R  of the bolts (3). 
R  (b) Engage the splines on the shaft of the POB (9) with those in the 
R  hydraulic motor (5).

 

R  (c) Carefully install the hydraulic motor (5) on the transfer tubes 
R  (8). 
R  (d) Attach the hydraulic motor (5) to the POB (9) with the washers 
R  (2) and the bolts (3). 
R  (e) TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 0.87 and 0.96 m.daN (76.99 and 
R  84.95 lbf.in). 
R  (4) Do a bonding test between the main bonding point of the power control 
R  unit and the: 
R  - POB flange 
R  - hydraulic motor flange 
R  - valve block assembly flange. 
R  The resistance must not be more than 20 milliohms. 
R  (5) Connect the hydraulic lines. 
R  (a) Remove the blanking caps from the line end (4). 
R  (b) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable. 
R  (c) Apply the HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the threads 
R  of the line end-fittings. 
R  (d) Connect the case drain line (4) to the hydraulic motor (5). 
R  (e) TORQUE the union nut of the case drain line (4) to between 1.5 
R  and 1.7 m.daN (11.06 and 12.53 lbf.ft). 
R  Subtask 27-54-54-860-056 
R  C. Preparation for the Test 
R  (1) Remove the PIN RIGGING-FLAPS from the left and right flap-track 
R  positions 1. 
R  (2) Pressurize the reservoirs of the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems 
R  (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002). 
R  (3) Pressurize the Green and the Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. TASK 29-
R  10-00-863-001) (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-002). 
R  (4) Remove the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER (Ref. TASK 27-00-
R  00-080-002) from the slat/flap control lever. 
R  (5) Remove the warning notice(s).

 

R  (6) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other 
R  items. 
R  Subtask 27-54-54-865-055 
R  D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit 
R  breaker(s): 
R  6CV, 8CV 
R  Subtask 27-54-54-710-051 
R  E. Test 
R  (1) Do the operational test of the flap system (Ref. TASK 27-54-00-710-
R  001). 
R  5. Close-up________ 
R  Subtask 27-54-54-860-057 
R  A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition. 
R  (1) Make sure that the level of fluid in the relevant hydraulic reservoir 
R  is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or 
R  (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-002). 
R  (2) Remove the container from below the hydraulic motor (5). 
R  (3) Remove the access platform(s). 
R  Subtask 27-54-54-410-051 
R  B. Close the main doors of the main gear (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
