PATTY WAGSTAFF’s NEW RIDE A CIRRUS
World’s Best-Selling Airplane Now Flown by World’s Best Aerobatic Pilot
OSHKOSH, WISC. (July 25, 2005) For many years the name Patty Wagstaff has
been synonymous with precision aerobatics. Today CIRRUS announced that the
innovative airplane manufacturer of the world’s best-selling airplane – the SR22 – will
be the new sponsor for airshow superstar Patty Wagstaff.

co-founder and Executive Vice President Dale Klapmeier. “By anyone’s standards,
she’s one of the most respected pilots in the world. Her demanding airshow
performances have been seen live and on television by millions of people, creating

Patty Wagstaff is a three-time U.S. National Aerobatic Champion and the first woman
ever to win this title. A six-time member of the U.S. Aerobatic Team that competes in
Olympic level competition, she’s taken gold, silver and bronze medals.
Calling her style of flying, ‘hardcore aerobatics,’ Wagstaff is one of the most awarded
female pilots ever and in addition to having been recently inducted into the National
Aviation Hall of Fame, she will be honored later this year by the Air Force Association
with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
