Note: To access compression fitting on Main Proportioning Unit, it may be necessary to
loosen proportioning unit from mounting bracket.
(11) Disconnect 1/2" distribution line from Main Proportioning Unit. Direct fluid line into a clean and
empty container to capture expelled anti-ice fluid.
(12) Disconnect 1/2" distribution line from Tail Proportioning Unit. Direct fluid line into a clean and
empty container to capture expelled anti-ice fluid.
Note: It is typical for fluid to reach the Main Proportioning Unit prior to the Tail Proportioning
Unit due to the difference in line lengths, however both areas should be
observed during operation of the Metering Pumps to ensure that large amounts of
anti-ice fluid are not expelled into the aircraft.
It is typical to see a continuous stream of anti-ice fluid at first, followed by a section
of air, followed by an anti-ice fluid/air mixture before all the air is removed.
(13) Remove air from the forward arterial distribution lines.
(a) Set ICE PROTECT mode switch to HIGH
(b) Set ICE PROTECT system switch to ON.
(c) Set PUMP BKUP switch to ON.
(d) Continue operating of the Metering Pumps until there is no evidence of air exiting the 1/2"
distribution line.
(e) Reconnect the 1/2" distribution line to the Main Proportioning Unit quickly to ensure large
amounts of air are no introduced to the system.
(f) Set PUMP BKUP switch to OFF.
(g) Set ICE PROTECT system switch to OFF.
(14) Remove air from the aft arterial distribution lines.
(a) Set ICE PROTECT mode switch to HIGH.
(b) Set ICE PROTECT system switch to ON.
(c) Set PUMP BKUP switch to ON.
(d) Continue operating of the Metering Pumps until there is no evidence of air exiting the 1/2"
distribution line.
(e) Reconnect the 1/2" distribution line to the Tail Proportioning Unit quickly to ensure large
amounts of air are not introduced to the system.
(f) Set PUMP BKUP switch to OFF.
(g) Set ICE PROTECT system switch to OFF.
(15) Set BAT1 and AVIONICS switches to OFF.

P. Thoroughly inspect aircraft interior for foreign object debris.
Q. Install Avidyne TAS.
(1) Position Avidyne TAS Processor to cabin floor and install attaching hardware.
(2) Connect antenna and electrical connections.
R. Install cabin access panel CF1L, CF2L, CF3L, and CF4L. (Refer to AMM 6-00)
S. Install carpeting. (Refer to AMM 25-10)
T. Install crew seats. (Refer to AMM 25-10)
U. Install empennage access panel RE3. (Refer to AMM 6-00)
V. Install wing access panels LW1 and RW1. (Refer to AMM 6-00)
W. Perform Operational Test - Ice Protection System. (Refer to AMM 30-05)
X. Complete airplane records by noting compliance with SB 2X-30-08 in Aircraft Logbook.
