The 2007 Cirrus Instructor Symposium is
scheduled for April 25-27 with the theme
of The Business of Life Long Learning.
Registration is open for this year’s
Symposium to be held at the Holiday Inn in
Duluth, MN. Cirrus is planning for three times
the number of participants from last year. Bill
Stone, Director of Flight Standards and
Operations expects a full house. Register
early, because the event is limited to 150
instructors. Cirrus promises a strong program
with important news about the Cirrus
instructor network, business growth initiatives,
and discussion on succeeding in the
business of life long learning.
Tina Oborny, Founder and Director of
Platinum Aviation in Miami, Florida attended
the 2006 CSIP Symposium with her Chief
Pilot Kerry Hackney. Both were impressed
with the learning and networking opportunities.
Following last year’s event, Kerry reported,
“This was a great experience. I will definitely
be back.” Regarding their plans to
come back, Kerry says, “We wouldn’t miss it.
Our association with Cirrus has been the
best business decision we ever made.”
Tina adds, “We look forward to talking
with others with a common experience, learning
how they handle their business. The symposium
is a great learning experience with the
official presentations and all of the attendees.”
Items on the agenda include:
• Featured presentations and discussions
on marketing a life long learning
process,
• Ret. U.S. Air Force Captain Brian
Udell, a supersonic survivor will share
his inspirational story,
• Industry educator Dr. Warren Jensen,
UND Director of Aeromedical Research,
• Updates from Cirrus executives,
• Interaction with Cirrus Flight Standards
and Operations personnel,
• Presentations from Jeppesen and
Frasca.

Duluth has been reserved for the Symposium.

evening, April 25. Thursday will be full with
networking and presentations. The event will
conclude mid-afternoon on Friday after more
networking, presentations and hands on
opportunities with new training tools.
The Cirrus symposium experience is not
to be missed. Participants will enjoy a dinner
together on Thursday evening at Duluth’s historic
train depot and have the opportunity to
tour the Cirrus factory.
Since its beginning
in November
2003, the
Cirrus Standardized
Instructor
Program has grown and evolved. Its
mission has always been to provide
the best training programs possible
for Cirrus pilots. I have some significant
announcements to make about
the programs at the symposium in
April. I strongly encourage representatives
from every Cirrus Training
Center and individual CSIPs to
attend.
