INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
AND RECOMMENDED PRACTICES
CHAPTER 1. DEFINITIONS
Note I.- Throughout the text of this document the term
"service" is used as an abstract noun to designatefunctions,
or service rendered; the term "unit" is used to designate a
collective body performing a service.
Note 2.- The designation (RR) in these definitions indicates
a definition which has been extracted from the Radio
Regulations of the Intemtional Telecommunication Union
(ITU) (see Handbook on Radio Frequency Spectrum Requirements
for Civil Aviation including statement of approved
ICAO policies (Doc 9718)).
