equally applicable to heliports and winching areas.
5.3.12 Floodlighting of obstacles
Application
5.3.12.1 At a heliport intended for use at night, obstacles
shall be floodlighted if it is not possible to display obstacle
lights on them.
Location
5.3.12.2 Obstacle floodlights shall be arranged so as to
illuminate the entire obstacle and as far as practicable in a
manner so as not to dazzle the helicopter pilots.
Characteristics
5.3.12.3 Recommendation.- Obstacle floodlighting
should be such as to produce a luminance of at least
10 caw.
