Prepare for the Removal

Make sure the downlocks are installed on the nose and main landing gear (AMM 32-00-20/201).
(2)
Make sure the chocks are installed on the wheels.

WARNING:_______OBEY THE INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR THE DOOR LOCKS. THE DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE QUICKLY. THE MOVEMENT OF THE DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) Open the doors for the landing gear and install the door locks (AMM 32-00-15/201).
NOTE: The doors for the nose and the main landing gear open at the
____ same time when you use the ground release.

Remove the Up, Down, and Door Closed Sensor for the Nose Landing Gear (Fig. 201 and 202)

Remove the screws (2) that hold the sensor to the bracket, and remove the sensor (1).

Loosen the clamps that hold the wire bundle.

CAUTION:_______WRITE DOWN THE WIRE COLOR CODE. THIS WILL PERMIT THE CORRECT INSTALLATION OF THE SENSOR WIRES AND PREVENT THE MALFUNCTION OF THE POSITION INDICATION SYSTEM FOR THE LANDING GEAR.

Put a tag with the color code on the wire for the installation.

Cut the sensor wires at the wire bundle splices.

Remove the sensor wire from the wire bundle.

(1) Find the wire bundle (3) near the conduit connect panel (1) at the top of the wheel well.
