TASK 32-51-00-825-001
3. Rigging Check of the NGPP/Rudder Interconnect System (Fig. 501, 502)
____________________________________________________
A. General
(1)
The NGPP/rudder interconnect system is correctly adjusted if the conditions that follow occur:
(a)
The rudder pedal steering will not operate when the NGPP cable loop disengages the rudder pedal steering. The hydraulic power must be on.
(b)
Rig pins NS6 (24, View C-C, Fig. 501) and NS7 (40, Detail A, Fig. 502) can be installed only when the piston position quadrant (46) is turned clockwise to the air mode. To do a check of the free fit of rig pin NS7 turn the piston position quadrant to the air mode (rudder pedal steering disengaged) and install NS6. NS6 can be a tight fit because of the load on the interconnect springs.
NOTE: The rig pins have a free fit if you can install or
____ remove them with two fingers. Some resistance is permitted on rig pin NS6 only.
(c)
The NGPP cables for the NGPP/rudder interconnect have the correct tension (do the check with the hydraulic power off).
(2)
There must be no more than a 5°F difference between the inner and the outer temperatures of the airplane. The temperatures must be stable for one hour or more before you do the adjustment and also during the adjustment.
