Tampa International Airport, regardless of its physical size and volume of operations, does not have all of the facilities, equipment, or personnel to handle a major disaster or emergency. However, these facilities, equipment, and trained personnel are available in the surrounding City and County municipalities and several of the airport tenants to meet most emergencies generated at the Airport.
1-200 LETTER OF AGREEMENT/RESPONSE ORGANIZATIONS
A Letter of Agreement has been acknowledged and signed by the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority and the various response organizations as listed. The original copy of the Agreement is maintained on file in the offices of the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority. These response organizations have acknowledged that the prescribed procedures outlined in this plan will be utilized to the extent practicable in the event of an accident or emergency, or the potential for such, on or in the vicinity of Tampa International Airport.

The Hillsborough County Aviation Authority maintains an emergency notification telephone directory for notifying facilities, agencies, and personnel who have responsibilities within this plan. The telephone directory is updated on a regular basis and is available in the Airport Communications Center.
