to the above and the following persons shall also be
informed. 6) AMPCO Parking Office  7) Maintenance Work Control 8) Communications Supervisor  9) Schindler
2-420.112  If the responding Officer can not assure that no fire or hazardous condition exists within 5 minutes of the alarm initiation, the Communications Center Operator will contact Police dispatch for an update. Upon notification of a false alarm, the Communications Center Operator will reset the Fire Alarm Computer and inform the persons notified.  
    2-420.12  AIRPORT POLICE
The Police Office when alerted by the Communications Center
Operator of a pre-signal fire alarm and its location shall:
Immediately dispatch a Police Officer to the fire alarm location

regardless of the location in the Airport complex. 
Police personnel will proceed to the alarm source and determine
one of the following: 

-
A false alarm.

-A fire or hazardous condition exists, but does not warrant evacuation of the building.

-
A fire or hazardous condition exists and does warrant evacuation of the building.


The responding Police Officer shall have up to five minutes during the alarm investigation phase to evaluate the fire condition and report back to the Communications Center to reset the system.

The police will alert Tampa Fire Rescue Dispatcher exactly five
(5) minutes after a pre-signal alarm if no information is received from investigative personnel for an immediate response to a possible fire.
For an actual fire, or other hazardous condition, whether it warrants evacuation of the building or not, requires that Tampa Fire Rescue be notified without delay.  Therefore, the Police Office must receive the circumstances of emergency as soon as possible.
The Police Office will provide the Communication Center with all status information on the alarm. 
In the case of an actual fire, Section 2-420.2 procedures shall be activated. 
    2-420.13 MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
The Maintenance 9 Duty Coordinator, when alerted by the Communications Center of a pre-signal fire alarm shall maintain a “Communications Watch” with the Center.
1) The Duty Coordinator, when alerted of activation of the Fireman’s Return (elevators), will immediately respond to the location. The Duty Coordinator will further advise the Maintenance office, as necessary, via the radio. 
2) In case of a false alarm caused by a pull station, as determined by Airport Police, the Duty Coordinator shall respond and attempt to reset the alarm.
3) The Duty Coordinator shall have sole responsibility to reset the pull station, minimizing the possibility of accidentally activating the general alarm.
4) System troubles which have cleared may be reset by the Communications Center Operator.

    2-420.14  AIRSIDE E 
When a fire alarm is activated at Airside E, the Communication  Center will notify the Police Department who will dispatch an officer to the affected area.  
    2-420.15  AIR CARGO TENANTS 
When a fire alarm device is activated in the Air Cargo Facility, the Communication Center will notify the Airport Police Department which will dispatch an officer to the affected area.  Additionally, all tenants shall search their lease area for possible fire or source of alarm.  If an actual fire is found, the response procedures in Section 2-420.2 shall be in effect.
