2-330.336 Re-open Airport for routine or normal operations after all TFR emergency vehicles are back at index in service, refilled with extinguishment material, and the runways and taxiways are cleared and checked for damage.
2-330.34 DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS OR ADO
The Director of Operations (or his authorized representative), when informed of the Alert 3 aircraft emergency shall:
2-330.341 Establish a "Mobile Command Post" at the scene of the accident as an aid to the rescue and fire fighting operations of the TFR Incident Commander for emergency units dispatched to the accident. Coordinate or control the activities of Airport Police Officers, aircraft owner/operator personnel, FAA, and news media.
2-330.342 Maintain communications with the Senior Director of Operations & Public Safety about the progress of rescue and fire fighting operations and to advise on NOTAMS concerning the emergency.
2-330.343 Provide "back up" communication facilities to the Incident Commander of the TFR emergency units as required.
2-330.344 After removal of the aircraft from the airfield (if applicable), prior to reopening the area for operations, inspect the entire area for damage and check for the removal of all debris and foreign objects.
2-330.35 MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
The Maintenance Department when informed of an Alert 3 aircraft emergency, shall when directed to do so by the Director of Operations or ADO, or in their absence, the senior Police Officer on duty:
2-330.351 Respond with all requested facilities personnel to assist in staffing assignments as directed by the Mobile Command Post.
2-330.352 Evaluate the airport conditions and take corrective actions in

areas under their responsibility, coordinated with the Mobile
Command Post.
2-330.353 When requested by the Mobile Command Post, transport the emergency lighting trailer or other requested equipment to the scene of the accident.
2-330.4 AIRLINE OR OWNER/OPERATOR
The local airline or aircraft owner/operator, or his authorized representative, when informed of the Alert 3 aircraft emergency shall:
2-330.41 Under Airport Police escort provided, report immediately to the Incident Commander of TFR emergency units at the accident, provide appropriate personnel and equipment for removing passengers and crew from a crashed company aircraft.
2-330.42 Maintain control of their company personnel to insure that non-essential personnel do not proceed to the accident site.
2-330.43 Coordinate with the "Mobile Command Post" regarding transportation from the accident site to a central collection point for "walk-away" passengers and crew of the crashed Alert 3 aircraft when released by emergency medical units at the accident site.
2-330.431 Tracking of casualties transported to area hospitals would be best accomplished by providing a company representative at the county's Emergency Operations Center (EOC). It is activated if there are 15 or more casualties.
2-330.44 Notify the U.S. Postal Service facility at TPA if U.S. Mail is involved in the accident.
2-330.45 Designate a location for holding a news conference and where media personnel may meet and provide personnel to address the news conference.
2-330.46 Designate separate areas of control points where investigative authorities report and where relatives can obtain names of casualties or fatalities and other information.
