2-320 TAXIING ACCIDENT
2-320.1 SITUATIONS
An aircraft that collides with another aircraft, vehicle, or object while taxiing or parked is classified as an Alert 2 unless the accident escalates into a major emergency. If the accident escalates in severity as determined by TPA Tower personnel or Tampa Fire Rescue, then an Alert 3 shall be declared and procedures presented in Section 2-330 (crash or fire on Airport) shall apply.
2-320.2 NOTIFICATION
Notification of a taxiing accident will normally be received by the Tower from the crew members of the aircraft or vehicles involved, visual observation by Tower personnel, etc.
2-320.3 RESPONSE
2-320.31 TPA TOWER
When notified that an aircraft taxiing on the ramps, taxiways, or runways of TPA has collided with another parked or taxiing aircraft, has struck or been struck by a vehicle, or has hit some inanimate object, the Tower shall:

Notify Net Line participants giving all known information as to type and nature of alert, aircraft type/identification, and location of taxi accident on the Airport.

Notify other persons or agencies as required by regulations for reporting aircraft ground accidents.
2-320.32 TAMPA FIRE RESCUE
2-320.321 When notified that an aircraft taxiing accident has occurred, the TFR Dispatcher will place TPA Fire Stations on alert status and dispatch emergency equipment to the scene of the aircraft taxiing accident with coordination from the Tampa Tower.

2-320.322 If fire fighting, crash and rescue operations are required, the alert shall be upgraded to an Alert 3 and the procedures of Section 2-330 (crash or fire on airport) shall apply.
2-320.33 HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY AVIATION AUTHORITY 2-320.331 AIRPORT POLICE The Airport Police, when notified of taxiing accident, shall: 2-320.3311 Immediately dispatch emergency units to the site to assist the Director of Operations or his representatives. 2-320.3312 Provide radio escort for response organizations to and from the emergency site on the airfield. 2-320.3313 Complete an investigation of the incident. 2-320.332 COMMUNICATIONS CENTER The Center when informed of an Alert 2 taxiing emergency, shall immediately notify the following, giving all known information of the taxiing accident:

-Maintenance Department -Airline involved

2-320.333 DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS or ADO
2-320.3331 When informed of an aircraft emergency, shall establish a "Mobile Command Post" at the scene of the taxiing accident as an aid to the response of the incident.
2-320.3332 Notify the Airport Police and Communications Center upon stabilization and termination of the alert.
2-320.3333 Inspect the entire area to check for removal of all debris and foreign objects after aircraft and vehicles are clear of the taxi accident site.
2-320.334 MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
Upon the request from the Director of Operations or his representative, respond with men and equipment to assist at the scene and protect and repair HCAA property.
