EMERGENCY RESPONSE MANUAL
DEFINITIONS
Unless specifically defined otherwise herein, or different meaning is apparent from the context, the terms used in this Emergency Response Manual shall have the following definitions:
A. "Airport" and/or "TPA" shall mean Tampa International Airport, Tampa, Florida.
B. "Terminal" or "Passenger Terminal Complex" shall mean the passenger terminal facilities, including all levels of the Landside Building, the associated Hotel/Office Complex, the Airside Buildings, the passenger shuttle system connecting the Landside and Airside Buildings, the Service Building, the parking garages and facilities, rental car facilities, and all roadways associated therewith.
C. "Authority" shall mean the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority.
D. "Executive Director" shall mean the Executive Director of Aviation employed by the Authority.
E. “Deputy Executive Director” shall mean the Deputy Executive Director of Aviation employed by the Authority.
F. "Senior Director of Operations & Public Safety" shall mean that person having immediate charge of the Airport and acting under the direction of the Deputy Executive Director.
G. The Authority's Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Operations are hereinafter referred to as "DO" and "ADO", respectively.
H. The Communications Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") shall mean that central room in the Service Building of the Terminal Complex where communications, mechanical and electrical monitoring equipment, and emergency functions are routed for continuous surveillance and emergency response.
I. The Airport Police Department and its personnel are hereinafter referred to as "Airport Police".

J. The TPA FAA Air Traffic Control Tower is hereinafter known as "Control Tower".
K. The City of Tampa Fire Rescue is hereinafter referred to as "TFR".
