2-430    SEVERE WEATHER
   2-430.1 INTRODUCTION
Potential damage to Tampa International Airport from severe weather and natural disasters requires preplanning to lessen the disruption of normal airport operations.  Severe weather can include high winds, tornadoes, high water, hurricanes, and any other naturally occurring phenomenon. While the approach of a hurricane can generally allow some advance warning, high winds, tornado conditions, and natural disasters occur sometimes without advance notice.
