1) Install the spray shield to the inboard side of the forward tube connection to the front of the flange M. 2) Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the clamp, with engine oil. 3) Attach the forward end of the spray shield to the bracket on the diffuser case with a clamp and bolt. 4) Tighten the bolt for the clamp to 36-40 pound-inches
(4.1-4.5 newton-meters). 5) Attach the rear end of the spray shield with a hose clamp. 6) Tighten the hose clamp to 15-18 pound-inches (1.7-2.0
newton-meters).

For the forward cooling air tubes, install the lower support link for the pneumatic manifold with the steps that follow (view C):
(a)
Remove the nut and one washer from the pneumatic manifold.
(b)
Install one end of the support link to the pneumatic manifold with the washer and nut. 1) Tighten the nut with your hand.
(c)
Attach the other end of the support link to the flange M bracket with the bolt, washer, and nut. 1) Tighten the nut.
(d)
Tighten the nut at the pneumatic manifold.

LOW PRESSURE TURBINE CASE COOLING COLLECTOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure gives the instructions to remove and install the collector for the low pressure turbine (LPT) case cooling.
B. The collector is installed on the LPT case at approximately the 3 o'clock position. The collector is connected to the shutoff valve for the LPT case cooling air.
C. You can get access to the collector through the core cowl panels.
