Install the actuator on the HPC case bracket and engage the pins with the holes in the actuator mount rails.

 (e)  
Attach the actuator with the four bolts at the hinged clamp locations. 1) Tighten the bolts to 85-95 pound-inches (9.6-10.7

 newton-meters)

 (f)  
Lubricate the threads of the attaching bolt of the ground strap with engine oil.

 (g)  
Attach the ground strap to the actuator with the bolt.

 1)  Tighten the bolt to 85-95 pound-inches (9.6-10.7 newton-meters).

 (h)  
Remove the protection caps from the servo fuel supply, servo fuel return and drain tubes.

 (i)  
Lubricate the threads of the tube nuts for the servo fuel supply, servo fuel return and drain tubes with engine oil.

 (j)  
Connect the servo fuel supply, servo fuel return and drain tubes to the ports in the actuator.

 (k)  
Tighten the servo fuel return (middle) tube nut to 270-300 pound-inches (30.5-33.9 newton-meters). 1) Tighten the servo fuel supply (largest) tube nut to 450-500


 pound-inches (50.8-56.5 newton-meters).

2)  Hold the adapter and tighten the drain (smallest) tube nut to 135-150 pound-inches (15.3-16.9 newton-meters).
 (l)  
Safety all tube nuts with lockwire or safety cable and safety cable ferrule.

 (m)  
Lubricate the threads of the coupling nut for the control cable with engine oil.

 (n)  
Connect the coupling nut to the actuator shaft. 1) Tighten the coupling nut to 100-125 pound-inches (11.3-14.1 newton-meters).

 2)  Safety the coupling nut with lockwire or safety cable and safety cable ferrule.

 (o)  
Lubricate the threads of the attaching bolt of the control cable rod-end bearing with engine oil.

 (p)  
Attach the control cable rod-end bearing to the idler arm on the HPT cooling air shutoff valve with the bolt and the nut.


 NOTE: Make sure the head of the bolt and the rod-end bearing
____ are on the inside of the idler arm on the HPT shutoff valve.
 1)  Tighten the bolt to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).
 (q)  Remove the protection caps from the EEC electrical connector and the receptacle on the actuator.
 CAUTION: USE THE CORRECT ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE, AND TOOLS, FOR THE
_______ HARNESS CONNECTOR INSTALLATION (AMM 70-24-05/201). IF YOU USE THE INCORRECT ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE, OR TOOLS, A DAMAGED OR LOOSE CONNECTOR CAN OCCUR. A LOOSE CONNECTOR PERMITS VIBRATION, WHICH CAUSES THE CONTACTS TO WEAR AND DECREASES THE LIGHTNING PROTECTION.
 (r)  
Connect the EEC electrical connector to the receptacle on the actuator (AMM 70-24-05/201).

 (s)  
Adjust the Turbine Case Cooling System (AMM 75-24-00/501).

 F.  
Return the Aircraft to Its Usual Condition

 (1)  Close the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (5)  For the applicable engine, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers on the P6 panel: (a) 6G1 FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 1 (b) 6G15 SCU ALT PWR ENG 1 (c) 6G23 ENG SCU 1 (d) 6G2 FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 2 (e) 6G16 SCU ALT PWR ENG 2 (f) 6G24 ENG SCU 2 (g) 6G3 FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 3 (h) 6G17 SCU ALT PWR ENG 3 (i) 6G25 ENG SCU 3 (j) 6G4 FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE ENG 4 (k) 6G18 SCU ALT PWR ENG 4 (l) 6G26 ENG SCU 4
