(2) Remove the shutoff valve (10):
(a) Remove the bolt (4) and the nut (7) that holds the end rod of the control cable.
NOTE: The control cable is attached to the idler arm of the
____
valve assembly.
(b) Remove the bolts (2 and 15) that hold the top flange of the shutoff valve (1) and the upper support link.
NOTE: They are attached to the upper support bracket.

1) Turn the support link in the direction of the engine case.
(c)
Remove the bolts (3) and the nuts (14) that hold the lower valve flange to the lower support bracket.
(d)
Pull the shutoff valve (1) aft and out from between the upper and the lower support brackets.
(e)
If you will replace the shutoff valve (1), remove the adjuster assembly and the idler arm assembly: 1) Remove the bolt (5) and the nut (9) that hold the rod end
of the adjuster assembly (10).
NOTE: It is attached to the idler arm of the valve
____
assembly.
a) Remove the adjuster assembly (10) and the bushing (8).
NOTE: The bolt and nut that connects the rod end to
____ the LPT valve lever are removed with the LPT valve (AMM 75-24-04/401).
2) ENGINES PRE-PW-SB 75-136; Remove the nut (11) that holds the idler arm assembly (12) to the shutoff valve (1).
